Bag, shoe, rug and sofa cleaning in Lagos

Bags, shoes, rugs and sofas are cleaned by hand, not run through a machine. Leather, suede, canvas, wool and synthetic fibre each need a different method, and using the wrong one is how a good bag ends up stiff and a rug ends up faded. We clean each item to its material, at our Lekki and Ikosi-Ketu branches, with pickup and delivery across Lagos.

Send a photo on WhatsApp to 0901 111 6151 and we will tell you what the item needs, what we expect to achieve and what it costs before you send it in.

Why use our bag, shoe and rug cleaning service?

Handbags and leather goods

Leather, suede, canvas, PU and fabric bags are cleaned surface by surface, including the lining and the corners where dust and body cream collect. Leather is cleaned and then conditioned so it does not dry out and crack, suede is brushed and treated dry rather than washed, and hardware is cleaned separately from the body. Ink marks, oil and mould from damp storage are common Lagos problems and we treat all three, though how much lifts depends on how long the mark has been sitting.

Shoes and sneakers

Sneakers, canvas shoes, leather shoes, heels, boots and sandals are cleaned inside and out: uppers, midsoles, outsoles, laces and insoles. Yellowed midsoles are treated, scuffs on leather are cleaned and re-conditioned, and suede is handled dry. Canvas and sneaker cleaning is 2,000 naira per pair, and other footwear is quoted after we see it. Shoes come back deodorised, which matters more in this climate than most people admit.

Rugs and carpets

Rugs are cleaned by size and fibre. We start by beating and extracting the dry soil, because washing a rug with two years of dust still in it just turns the dust to mud deep in the pile. After that comes the wash itself, stain treatment, a rinse, then controlled drying so the backing does not stay damp and start to smell. Wool, silk blends, shaggy pile, Persian style and synthetic rugs are each handled differently, and rug work is quoted by size and condition.

Sofas and upholstery

Fabric and leather sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, ottomans and headboards are cleaned in place at your home or office, or collected if you prefer. Treatment covers dust extraction, stain work on arms and headrests where hair oil builds up, deep cleaning of the fabric, and drying. Leather upholstery is cleaned and conditioned rather than soaked. Sofa work is quoted by the number and size of pieces.

What we can and cannot fix

We are straight with you about outcomes. Dirt, dust, most stains, odours and mould respond well. Dye transfer that has already set, sun bleaching, cracked or peeling leather and burn damage are permanent, and cleaning will improve the look but not reverse them. You get that assessment before we start, not after you have paid.

How often should these be cleaned?

Bags and shoes benefit from a professional clean once a year, more often for pieces in weekly use. Rugs in a busy sitting room or hallway should be washed every six to twelve months, and sofas roughly once a year, sooner in a house with children or pets. Harmattan dust and humidity both shorten those intervals, so if an item looks dull rather than dirty, it is usually dust sitting in the fibre.

Pickup, delivery and turnaround

We collect from and deliver to addresses around both branches, or you can drop items off. Bags and shoes are normally ready within a few days. Rugs and sofas take longer because drying cannot be rushed without leaving damp in the backing or the foam. We confirm the date when we inspect the item, and you can always book a pickup on 0802 087 6279 or 0901 111 6151.
