Fumigation & Pest Control in Lagos

Fumigation service for homes and offices in Lagos

Fumigation and pest control in Lagos

Fumigation is the treatment of a building with pest control products to kill an existing infestation and stop it coming back. We do it for homes, offices, shops, restaurants, schools and warehouses across Lagos: inspection first, then a treatment plan matched to the pest and the building, then a follow up check to confirm it worked.

Roaches in a Lagos kitchen, rats in a ceiling, bedbugs in a mattress and termites in a door frame are four different problems that need four different treatments. Blanket spraying kills what you can see and leaves the nest, which is why an infestation returns two weeks later. Book on 0802 087 6279 or 0901 111 6151 and we will inspect before we quote.

Pests we treat

  • Cockroaches: kitchens, cabinets, drains, restaurant kitchens and food stores
  • Rodents: rats and mice in ceilings, stores, false ceilings and warehouses
  • Bedbugs: mattresses, bed frames, sofas and skirting in homes, hostels and guest houses
  • Termites: door frames, wardrobes, skirting, roof timber and furniture
  • Mosquitoes and flies: compounds, drains, stagnant water points and outdoor seating
  • Ants, spiders and crawling insects: general treatment of a whole building

How a fumigation job runs

  1. Inspection. We walk the property, identify the pest, find where it is nesting and entering, and judge how far it has spread. Roach droppings behind a cabinet and a rat run in a ceiling tell us very different things.
  2. Plan and quote. You get a treatment plan that names the pest, the method, the products, the areas to be treated and what it costs, before any work starts.
  3. Treatment. Our technicians apply the treatment to every affected area, including the places pests actually live: wall voids, cabinet backs, drains, ceilings, mattress seams and door frames.
  4. Airing and re-entry. We tell you exactly how long to stay out, what to cover, and how to clean surfaces afterwards.
  5. Follow up. A post treatment check confirms the infestation is gone. If activity remains, we treat again as part of the same job.

Safety in an occupied home or office

Most jobs are in buildings where people work or sleep the same week, so the products and application method are chosen with that in mind. We tell you before we arrive what to do with food, plates, cooking utensils, pet bowls, fish tanks and baby items, and how many hours to stay out of treated rooms. Nothing is applied to a food preparation surface without being covered or cleaned afterwards, and you always get the re-entry time in writing before we leave.

How to prepare before we arrive

  • Pack food, plates and utensils away or into sealed cupboards
  • Clear the floor of clutter, and pull furniture slightly off the walls if you can
  • Cover fish tanks and switch off their pumps
  • Arrange for pets and young children to be out during and just after treatment
  • Empty bins and clear standing water, since both keep an infestation fed

Homes, offices and commercial premises

For a flat or house, most treatments are done in a few hours. For offices, restaurants, schools, salons and warehouses we usually work outside business hours so the space is ready the next morning, and many commercial clients keep us on a quarterly schedule because food premises and busy buildings re-infest faster than homes. Landlords and short let operators also use us between tenants.

How often should you fumigate?

For a normal Lagos home, once or twice a year keeps roaches and crawling insects under control. Restaurants, food stores, schools and other high traffic buildings do better on a quarterly cycle. Bedbugs and termites are treated as jobs in their own right and are followed up rather than left until the next routine visit.

What it costs

Fumigation is quoted after inspection, because price depends on the pest, the size of the building, how far the infestation has spread and whether the job needs one visit or a course of treatments. Tell us the property type, the number of rooms and what you have been seeing, and we will give you a figure. Contact us on 0802 087 6279 or 0901 111 6151, or send a photo on WhatsApp.
